+82 / DEADEND / KILO1KG

Since his debut, KINGMCK has been celebrated for his distinct sound and skilled craftsmanship in blending various genres of music from house and techno to hip-hop. As a Co-founder of a DJ/Artist collective DEADEND and a Resident DJ at a renowned music hub Cakeshop, KINGMCK pioneers the underground sound of Seoul with his trailblazing sets.

KINGMCK’s reputation reached new heights when he produced his audio visual live in 2013. This performance solidified his name in the industry, attracting praise and support from acclaimed artists and labels, such as Boy Noize, Brodinski, No Vacancy Inn, DJ EZ, Oneman, Snake, Mad Decent, Fool’s Gold, and more. And since 2014, KINGMCK has been performing worldwide in major cities including but not limited to New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Berlin, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Osaka, and Bangkok—an unprecedented feat for a Korean DJ.

The DJ’s presence is not limited to the music industry, however. KINGMCK has become a unique icon, highly sought after in the fashion industry. In 2014, KINGMCK collaborated with Virgil Abloh—Kanye’s creative director and Maestro of the fashion brand Off White—and released a capsule collection. In 2015, the DJ was appointed as a global ambassador for Adidas Superstar 40th Anniversary Campaign, as well as performing at the MET Gala after party.

Recently, KINGMCK participated in MNET’s DJ tournament competing against 10 of Asia’s best DJs. In the finals, KINGMCK scored nearly double the points against his opponents, winning the championship and reaffirming his indomitable presence in the Korean music industry.

His influence, however, spans beyond borders launching a cultural project +82, joined by artists and creatives GD, Xin, BAJOWOO and more. The DJ debuted his first audio visual live show with a support from CL for an Adidas campaign, leading to another show together during NYFW for Alexander Wang. In between, KINGMCK headlined a Boiler Room set hosted by French dance music pioneer Teki Latex.

With this project as a platform, the DJ is leading a cultural movement from Korea to all corners of the world.
