Latest episode of Mo’s Shows on Random Woah’s, where we will be discussing the novel Starlight, written by Richard Wagamese.The essential question for our podcast is, "What is required in order for an individual to be able to move on from their past traumatic events?"

First of all, let’s address the question itself. The question asks about how we can escape our past traumas, and there are many ways to do this. It is important to recognize that there are both healthy and unhealthy ways in which we can escape from past traumas, both which are displayed in the book and that we will discuss in the podcast. 

Another factor that needs to be addressed is the bias of the question itself. This question immediately assumes that it is possible to escape our past traumas by asking how this can be done. This is just for the purpose of meeting the expectations of an essential question, and we recognize that is is completely possible and justifiable to argue the opposite — that it is not possible to move on from past traumatic experiences --- even using some example from the book.(This was going to be in the podcast but I cut it out since it was too long)
