*Trigger warning* [Premature birth / NICU] The unpredictability of motherhood is something you can't truly appreciate until you're in it. But there's a different kind of unpredictability that comes with delivering your baby prematurely. Whether you've been through it yourself, or know someone who has, it's a topic that's not spoken about enough. But it should be.
There are thousands of families in this position every year, and Melinda Cruz founded an organisation that supports these families through one of the toughest events in their lives. In this episode, Melinda shares her incredibly raw experience of having three babies in the neonatal intensive care unit. I can't thank her enough for joining me on this podcast as we raise awareness and provide helpful guidance for those seeking to support people going through this.
Melinda is the founder of The Miracle Babies Foundation - Australia's leading organisation supporting premature and sick newborns, their families and the hospitals that care for them. You can access the show notes for this episode at: http://bit.ly/thlpodcast002
